Colorado road conditions: Heavy snow halts traffic across Colorado, CDOT bans trailers from I-70 in the mountains
The winter storm could block travel in Colorado today and Saturday, closing roads and threatening to make driving difficult or impossible on parts of interstates 25 and 70.
The Colorado Department of Transportation warned that travel conditions could be “severe to severe” Friday and Saturday, expressing some concern for I-70 east of Denver and I-25 south of Pueblo.
Starting at 4 pm Friday, CDOT will begin restricting vehicles with any type of trailer from traveling west of exit 259 on I-70. The restrictions will apply until 8am on Saturday.
