NEW YORK (AP) – Young artists looking for longevity would be wise to heed Willie Nelson’s wise words: Do what feels right, and if you’re lucky enough to have a revered image built in your city, remember that. it’s just something you have to “go down and clean the pigeon (expletive) every now and then.”
On Friday, Nelson, 91, released his second album “Last Leaf on the Tree,” his 76th solo album and 153rd album, according to Texas Monthly’s herculean set of His discography is extensive. So how many others does he have? Nelson laughs into the phone, “I don’t know. I hope there are a few more.” Maybe he’ll hit 200? “Why not!”
