Westminster nonprofit Growing Home pivots to prevent families from becoming homeless

After more than 20 years of directly placing homeless families in temporary housing, a Westminster nonprofit has shifted its focus to preventing homelessness in the first place.

Growing Home opened in 1998 as the Adams County Interfaith Hospitality Network. At the time, the suburbs had few resources for homeless families, founder Kathleen Drozda said in an interview in 2018.
